At this point we divide our
lineage into two lines which will continue for eight generations and
then come back together. Our last mention was John, who died in 1493 and
his wife, Olive Arthur. Their sons, Richard and William head the two
lines. We shall start with Richard.
Richard is now living at Sock Dennis Manor, born in
1471, and having left Stopham. His son, William, born in ca. 1504, died
at the age of 97 years in 1601 was residing at Erney, Sussex. Then came
William's son, Richard, born 1545, at Erney, died 1618. Next came
Richard's son, John, born ca. 1575 at Erney, married Agnes ____? She
was born before 1591 at Erney. They came to America & settled in the
area of Windsor, Hartfield Co. CT.
Their son, John was born Nov. 9, 1613, died May 14, 1670 in
Windsor and married in 1640 in Windsor, Mrs. John Bartlett, born , 1619
in Windsor. It is not known what her maiden name or her first name
were. From this point on we have a great deal more information of this
branch of the family.

BENJAMIN married second a woman named Rachel by whom
he had 5 children. It is the children of his first wife that continues our
