William
(Bill) A. Aylesworth Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief
Financial Officer Texas Instruments Inc. (retired)
Bill was elected senior vice president of
Texas Instruments, one of the world's leading electronics companies, in
January 1988. He joined TI as a member of the Control Management
Program in Dallas in 1967, the same year he earned a master's degree in
industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He held
numerous assignments in control, manufacturing, and marketing in the
Materials & Controls Group before joining Texas Instruments treasury
services in 1972.
In 1980, he was elected assistant
treasurer and in 1982 he became vice president and treasurer. That was
followed by his selection as principal financial officer in 1984 and
chief financial officer a year later.
In addition to his TI duties, Bill serves
on numerous business, professional, and civic boards. These include
board memberships for the Arkwright Mutual Insurance Company, MEMC
Southwest Inc., Children's Health Services of Texas, and Children's
Medical Center Foundation. He is also a member of the National
Association of Corporate Treasurers, the Financial Executives Institute,
The Conference Board's Council of Financial Executives, and Carnegie
Mellon University's Graduate School of Industrial Administration's
Council on Finance.
In addition to his master's degree, he
earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell
University.
