 INTRODUCTION.

   IN the year 1840 Sylvester Aylsworth, of Utica, issued a twelve-paged pamphlet
of genealogical information, and, notwithstanding the, repetition which it necessitates, 
the subject matter is reproduced in this place complete, with the exception of the 
family records of William and Catharine (Havens) Aysworth and of their male 
descendants, which appear in the body of this work with additions. 

   This presentation is made in order to credit the Register as a whole, the labors of 
whose author in the then uncultivated field or printed, .American genealogies were 
most praiseworthy.
