BENNETT, BACKUS, & HAWLEY, FRANKLIN SQUARE.

1840.
BELOVED FRIENDS -- Out of respect to the family
name; to the memory of the departed; for the information of the living,
and those yet unborn, it is, that I have collected together the information
contained in this brief Record, in order that the same may be preserved and
handed down to the latest posterity. In passing a glance of the eye over these
pages, may each one of you be reminded of the rapid flight of time, and
involuntarily exclaim: Where are now our forefathers! Where our cotemporaries!!
Gone! gone !! never more to return!!! and after a few more fleeting days,
where will each of you be? The Book of God answers, in
Happiness or in Woe and Despair. Salvation is by Jesus Christ. O then
repent of sin, embrace the Saviour, live in obedience to God's commands and be
forever happy.
Affectionately Yours,
S. AYLSWORTH.
