10 . Chapman Family

           
      The first member of this family, Ralph Chapman, came to America on the ship "Elizabeth " in 1635.  He was a ships carpenter in Southwark, Surry, apart of present day London, England.  The first location of the family was in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA and then later they moved a short distance north to Marshfield.  His marriage is the first one recorded in Duxbury.

      RALPH CHAPMAN, born ca. 1635 England, married Nov. 23, 1642 Lydia Wills (Wells or Willis) in Duxbury.

      MARY CHAPMAN, born Oct. 31, 1643, married May 14, 1666 Marshfield, Plymouth Co., MA, William Troop of Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA (on Cape Cod)

        Thomas, born Sep. 16, 1683
        and others unknown
      MARY TROOP, born Apr. 6, 1667, married Nov. 4, 1686 Swansea, Bristol Co., MA,  John Barney, born Aug. 1, 1665 Salem, Bristol Co., MA, died 1728.
