2. Anderson Family

RICHARD ANDERSON, born 1585 came to America from London,  England in the ship "Merchant  Hope" and landed in Virginia in July of 1635 at age 50 to settle in Glouchester  County.
His son:

RICHARD ANDERSON, known as Richard of Glouchester in1662 came on the "Bonaventure" in 1632 and settled on the Virginia Tidewater.
His son:

ROBERT ANDERSON, born 1644, died 1712-18, married Cecelia Massie (or Massey). He received a tract of land in New Kent Co., VA.
Their son:

ROBERT ANDERSON, who died in 1716, married Mary Overton who died in 1735,  the daughter   of  William Overton,  born Dec. 13, 1628 in England,  married Nov. 24, 1670 Elizabeth Waters.  Robert  received a Patent for 1200 acres on the South side of the York River in Virginia in 1690.
Children:

  * DAVID, died 1786
     John, married Sarah Waddy

DAVID ANDERSON, who died 1786, married Elizabeth Mills, the daughter of Nicholas Mills & Ann Clopton

ANN ANDERSON, born Jan. 30, 1751, died Mar. 27, 1831, married Oct. 10, 1772 Dabney Minor, born Jun. 11, 1749, died 1797     (See Minor Family Addendum
