1.  Allred (Aldridge) Family

       This ancient Anglo-Saxon family of Norfolk and Suffolk Counties, England as early as 1236, descended down through the Rev. Henry Aldred, born ca. 1530 of Worstead, Norfolk Co., England, married ca. 1557, Elizabeth ____?, born ca. 1534, died Nov. 13, 1612.

      JOHN ALDRED, born ca. 1558 of Worstead, Eng., married Feb. 9, 1584 Agnes Rolfe, interred Jan. 11, 1610 at Worstead.
      Their son:

      CLEMENT ALDRIDGE, born ca. 1601 Worstead, Eng. married Jul. 2, 1626 in Worstead, Susan Boswell, born ca. 1605, the daughter of Christopher Boswell and Margaret Lambert. They may have come to America by 1668.

      CLEMENT ALDRIDGE JR., Christened Sep. 25, 1636 at Worstead, Eng., died 1698/9, married (2) Oct. 18, 1668 Worstead, Eng., Elizabeth Tills, born ca. 1642, the daughter of William and Mary Tills. They were the first ones recorded of their line to come to America probably the early part of 1671 to settle in Northumberland Co., Virginia.
